We are open late and with this large array of artists and mediums, you will find something to bring a smile to your face (and perhaps a new piece of art for your home). Join us Friday, August 4 from 5-9 PM.* Can't make it this Friday? Most of these exhibits are up the entire month of August!

Who are we?
The City of Lancaster Museum and Gallery Guide is a collection of Museums and Fine Art Galleries located in our walkable downtown featuring nationally and locally celebrated art, monthly exhibits, and special events.

ANNEX 24 GALLERY, 24 West Walnut Street

Join us for ‘Mixta’—our mixed media exhibition. Featuring work across multiple media, each piece tells a beautifully cohesive story. Solo exhibition artist Carrie Kingsbury uses vibrant color, texture, and emotion in ‘Refugee and Familiar Faces.’

ARTISANS GALLERY, 114 North Prince Street
*Open First Friday from 10 AM-4 PM
A group exhibit featuring new work from Marlin Bert and Sadradeen Amen.

Christiane has painted a beautiful array of fresh flowers and birds that she will be sharing this First Friday. The Gallery Trio will provide music and light refreshments will be available.

‘Robert E Locher: A Modern Classic’, which runs July 15 – September 8.

Enjoy Freiman’s latest series called ‘Symphony of Spring 2017’ on mediums including canvas, paper, and wood; inspired by music and floral life.

Friendship Heart Gallery partners with BUZZ, Downtown Lancaster’s takeout coffee and sandwich shop, for the Gallery’s August Exhibit ‘Buzzworthy: Honey Bees and Garden Scenes.’ This partnership celebrates the collaboration of our Downtown business and arts communities. The exhibit features works of buzzing bees and flowers in full bloom by the Heart Artists of Friendship Heart Gallery. Free hors d’oeuvres will be provided by BUZZ during First Friday’s Festivities from 6-8:30PM.

Join artist Cindy Schlosser for ‘a day at the beach’, with themed paintings on mediums including wooden bowls, antique doors, and shutters.

The 55th Annual Community Art Exhibition runs from July 1 to August 27.

LIZ HESS GALLERY, 140 North Prince Street
‘The Roaring Twenties’ is Liz’s latest collection of original works featuring the romance, jazz, dance, and overly large cars from the era of excess. The ever-present red umbrella juxtaposes against the mostly black and white color palette of these original paintings highlighting a classic period.
