Velocity is going Virtual: Enjoy & Support Our City!

Velocity showcases the very best that the City of Lancaster has to offer. Our art, culture, food, drinks, and fashion come together in one event to celebrate this vibrant City. This year will feature a virtual fashion show from some of the most popular shops and boutiques in the City.

The drinks are ready for mixing, the chefs are ready for chopping, the musicians are ready to jam, and the fashion is ready to show. Velocity, Lancaster City Alliance’s annual fundraiser and showcase of small businesses, is officially back for its sixth year. Together as a vibrant and diverse community, Velocity will be virtual this year, but remains an important opportunity to celebrate Lancaster’s vibrant culture. While this year may not look the same as previous years due to our current, unprecedented circumstances, it is imperative that the community support for small businesses remains strong. As a city moving forward together, everyone is encouraged to reserve a spot for Velocity 2020 and make a donation to help support local small businesses.

Scheduled for the evening of September 24, Velocity features an impressive lineup of cocktail and food demos, live music, and a fashion show. Leading the cocktail demos are John Costanza of The Belvedere, Jordan Young of Decades, and Jimmy Vega of 551 West. This year’s food demos will feature Annie Bailey’s & TFB Catering, Xulbo Bridge Food Stands, and Soulcialize Catering. Finally, see an impressive fashion lineup from local retailers and designers including My Aunt Debbie, Festoon, Sophie Stargazer, Fillings, Pappagallo, Lush Bazaar, Foxduck, EpitomeFIT, and Nicole Taylor Boutique. With a mix of new and familiar names in the lineup, this virtual event is destined to be a hit.

VIP tickets, which allow for a behind the scenes and insider look on recipes and mixes, are now on sale at velocitylancaster.com. This year, general admission for Velocity is free but attendees are highly encouraged to make donations to the LCA. All virtual attendees are also encouraged to pick up their very own Velocity pillow and tote bag from Ville + Rue. All proceeds from the Ville + Rue Velocity collection will be donated to LCA to assist and support small businesses in the City of Lancaster.
