Fresh Face: Laura Z Tai Fine Jewelry & Watches

Laura Wu, the owner of Laura Z Tai Jewelry & Watches, takes pride in finding beauty wherever she goes. From styling her friends and family for special events to exact cake decorating to helping a customer find the perfect piece of jewelry for a loved one, Laura has always enjoyed adding beauty to the lives of others.

Now Laura uses her fashion background and connections with international jewelry suppliers to add wearable beauty to Lancaster City. “We have brands from France, Italy, Japan… to California. Downtown Lancaster has a thriving art world, with so many galleries and artists and people of all different ages and backgrounds. We have different designers from all over the world in our store so that every customer can find something in their style.”

Laura and her husband have been working in fashion for several years, and they have brought their unique styles to their business. While her husband loves watches of all kinds (Laura Z Tai sells several international watch brands, including Mido & Bremont), Laura loves rich, delicate pieces that add an elegant touch to any outfit. Both jewelry sellers are passionate about providing quality, timeless pieces of jewelry to give to future generations.

While Wu founded Laura Z Tai in 2019, the pandemic caused the business to postpone opening their in-person store, and the grand opening wasn’t until September 2021. Now, the hope is that the gorgeous location will be more than a storefront, but a destination, collaborating with other local artists and vendors to host events for the community.
