    Fresh Face: Pride Painting

The idea for Pride Painting was born when co-owners and partners Barry and Marsden began dreaming about how they could be a creative force for good in the Lancaster community. With a combined nine years of professional painting experience under their belt, they put their dreams into action and took a bold step to open their business in October 2021.

As a queer-owned company, Pride Painting seeks to be unapologetic in who they are. “We are an LGBTQ+ owned company, which is something that is not often seen or celebrated in the trades,” Marsden said. “We’ve been really appreciative of the support and excitement that we have gotten in the community so far.”

Pride Painting specializes in a wide range of paint and repair services. From standard coats to creative installations, the pair knows that careful attention to detail is what makes a job stand out. With a willingness to tackle projects that push them out of their creative comfort zones, Barry and Marsden work closely with their clients to bring to life the vision they have for their space.

With a commitment to fostering a personal connection during each project, Pride Painting is striving to be more than just a business. That’s why Barry and Marsden have their hands in each step of the process, from providing an estimate all the way to painting the space.

“We are looking for a wide range of clients and projects, [and] we are hoping to reach out to allies [who] want to support us, and especially fellow queer folks that would feel more comfortable knowing that contractors that are entering their home are safe in that sense,” Barry said.

They understand that for any customer, it may be vulnerable to invite contractors into your home. That’s why Pride Painting wants you to know they are trusted, professional experts who are ready to help you realize your vision and transform your space.
