    Fresh Face: Lisa Torba, J. Hilburn

    From T-shirts to tuxedos, Lisa Torba is bringing her expertise as a J. Hilburn stylist to Downtown Lancaster in a luxurious new studio space.

     

    J. Hilburn is a custom-made menswear company that offers high-quality styles to fit a range of lifestyle needs. Clients work with personal stylists for a tailored experience, and J. Hilburn equips stylists with all the tips, tools, and tricks to transform clients’ wardrobes and the way they see fashion. Ease, fit, and function—how you look is her business!

     

    An independent stylist for the company since 2016, Lisa previously worked in womenswear but kept hearing women she worked with complain about helping their boyfriends or husbands find clothes.

    “I went looking for the unmet need,” Lisa said. “And the unmet need is menswear.”

    Lisa discovered most men don’t know where to start or have a hard time finding clothes that fit off the rack, and that’s where she comes in.

     

    Lisa has built an impressive career with J. Hilburn, traveling to meet clients wherever is convenient for them—whether in their home, in a coffee shop, or even over Zoom—and turned her living room into a makeshift studio space in the meantime.

    When J. Hilburn started a model of stylist-owned studios, Lisa knew it was time for a dedicated space for her business—complete with interactive styling technology, private dressing rooms, and a stylish lounge for sipping bourbon during appointments. But don’t worry, she will still meet you where you are most comfortable. Lisa starts with a discovery call to get to know her clients’ styles, body types, and needs. The beauty of the process is after an initial measurement appointment, clients have access to pick and tweak any piece in J. Hilburn’s 12 collections. Lisa works meticulously to make sure everything looks and fits perfectly—and if something isn’t working, clients can rest assured Lisa and J. Hilburn will make it right.

     

    As J. Hilburn’s Top 15 Stylist and Top 4 Mentor, Lisa also hopes the space will be a place she can guide the next generation of stylists.

     

    “I love sharing it with others,” Lisa said. “Because…so many people don’t even know that there’s an opportunity to be a menswear stylist and to be the CEO of your own empire.”
