Save the Date: Pet Pantry of Lancaster County’s Annual Light the Way & Open House Pet Food Drive

Join them on December 2, 2023.

Pet Pantry of Lancaster County is once again illuminating their building and opening their doors for their annual Light the Way event on December 2. The stunning display of lights represents a special life being honored or remembered—both pets and people who have been touched by the work of this nonprofit.

Along with the symbolic display, the event includes Open House tours of their space and services as well as a pet food drive that supports the needs of pets across Lancaster County.

Melody Sanders is the Co-Founder, CEO, and President of the Board at Pet Pantry, and every year she is blown away by how important this event is to help the community understand everything they offer.

“We love Light the Way because it gets people in our building, and many of them leave saying, ‘Wow, I never knew you did all of this,’” she shared.

Pet Pantry is a true asset to the community with their commitment to feed, fix, and rescue animals and their humans in need. Whether in need of emergency and longer-term pet food assistance, taking advantage of their lower-cost spay and neutering services, or looking to rescue a new member of your family—they provide lifesaving resources through caring community-driven programs.

“All the staff members are devoted to the animals’ well-beings and finding them a loving and safe home. The adoption process was thorough and quick, and they provide reasonable pricing, considering all of the shots, spaying and neutering, and checking the overall health of the animals.” – Sam A., Pet Pantry supporter

They invite you to join them during Light the Way to learn about their needs in continuing this important work for all the furry friends who come through their doors.

The event is free and open to everyone! Bring the whole family for a tour, enjoy free beverages and light cuisine, find one-of-a-kind gifts from local artisans, and get the opportunity to snap family and dog photos with Santa—all under the cheerful glow of the warmly lit building at 26 Millersville Road.
