Since 2012, the ExtraGive has been a day of giving that celebrates the generosity of Lancaster County and raises support for more than 400 local organizations in our region. Hosted by the Lancaster County Community Foundation (LCCF), the ExtraGive brings together thousands of people across the community to give EXTRA for 24 hours.
“When ExtraGive started in 2012, the goals were to inspire people to support a cause they care about, highlight the important work led by the nonprofits in our community benefit sector, and reintroduce the Community Foundation,” Tracy Cutler, Executive Vice President at LCCF, shared.” The goals remain, and since then, Lancaster County has embraced this day and created community-wide celebration of giving as one of the most generous per capita giving days in the nation. In only 11 days of giving over the years, ExtraGive has raised $92 million, engaged more than 30,000 donors, and supported more than 500 organizations.”
The 12th annual ExtraGive begins on November 17 at midnight, supported by Presenting Sponsors High Foundation and Murry Foundation along with other community sponsors. ExtraGive will once again conclude with ExtraGive FEST at the Lancaster Marriott and Lancaster County Convention Center beginning at 8PM to midnight, where anyone and everyone can come celebrate generosity and countdown to the end of ExtraGive.
And brand new this year, One World Festival and ExtraGive FEST are teaming up for one extraordinary celebration of unity, generosity, live music and dancing, global cuisines, international vendors, and unforgettable cultural experiences! One World Festival will kick off at noon on November 17 at the Convention Center, marking 12 hours of expanded celebration of Lancaster’s generosity and vibrancy.
“New for 2023, ExtraGive FEST and One World Festival’s partnership will offer a unified celebration of Lancaster County’s generosity and cultural vibrancy,” Tracy added. “The shared experience is designed and supported by the creative teams at ATOMIC and Shumaker PDT and is free and open to the public!”
No matter how you choose to participate in ExtraGive, every contribution will make an impact for our community. With just a $10 minimum gift and prize opportunities happening throughout the day, everyone is invited to support causes they care about on this extraordinary day.
