Things to Do
A Night of Possibility: Water Street Mission’s Evening of Celebration
Join Water Street Mission for an inspiring evening dedicated to supporting local neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Some evenings ask you to show up and enjoy yourself. Others invite you to step inside someone else’s story. Water Street Mission’s Evening of Celebration does a little of both. The result is a night that feels heartfelt, hopeful, and powerful for the Lancaster community.
At its core, the evening is a one-night gathering focused on the work ahead, as Water Street Mission continues to walk with neighbors facing homelessness, poverty, and hardship. It’s also a celebration of what is happening through the organization and across Lancaster.

For Water Street Mission’s President Jack Crowley, that wider view is what makes the night special. “For me personally, one of my favorite parts of the evening is to celebrate how God is working in our community, and not just Water Street,” he shared.
Walk The Journey
This year’s centerpiece is the all-new “We Don’t Give Up” immersive exhibit, which guides guests through the journey of someone who has become homeless all the way to restoration at Water Street and beyond. The exhibit unfolds in stations. At the first stop, life falls apart. The second is the access center, where help begins. The next stop has guests define the steps out of homelessness, and then continues with resources and continued support for those who have graduated from the shelter. Staff members at every station share their insights and stories, so the experience feels less like a display and more like a conversation.
Good Food, Good Stories, Double the Impact
Guests will enjoy a three-course Italian dinner buffet, with gluten-free options available. Throughout the evening, stories of restoration and perseverance take center stage, including restoration videos that show attendees how their support is changing lives. Jack will also give a special update on the work ahead.
The night also includes a one-night-only matching challenge. It’s a simple way to double the impact and turn inspiration into action.
