Authentic: Chip Cargas
Meet Chip Cargas - our Winter 2017 Authentic.
Chip Cargas is the founder, Chairman, and CEO at Cargas Systems, an employee owned business software company with 99 employees that is thrilled to be making the move to Downtown Lancaster! After years of intentional, sustainable growth, the need for a larger and more collaborative space was apparent.
After polling their current employees to ensure buy-in and support, Chip and his team had their eyes open for the perfect downtown opportunity and ultimately signed on as the anchor tenant for the exciting and much anticipated project known as 101 North Queen. The space and the location were exciting for Chip and his team whose ultimate purpose can be surmised in a two word purpose statement that packs a powerful punch: “Shared Success”. To Chip and the Cargas team, the downtown move is a win for the Cargas employees, customers, owners, partners and the Lancaster Community.
As the new location puts Cargas in an exciting vantage point for their current employees, with the great retail, restaurants, office and residential space that entices people to Lancaster urban living, Cargas plans to bring more than 100 great jobs to the heart of Lancaster city with their move, with room to grow the team to 220 employees. Always thinking ahead to the future of the company, and building a diverse and highly qualified work force, Cargas has partnered with local community organizations in events and initiatives that support women in technology fields and STEM education for all children.
The 101 North Queen move is just one more way that Cargas hopes to keep moving forward in their mission of shared success. “We are so lucky here in Lancaster, so many people are willing to work together to do whatever it takes to make Lancaster an ever more vibrant place!”
