Brentwood Builders was created by family for families

With a new design studio on the west end, Brentwood Builders is enhancing the process of designing your dream home.

In 1994, Clair Hostetter had a vision to build something he could pass down to the next generation, and in the basement of their home in Mount Joy, Clair and his wife Orpha started a building company that would be just that. Over 25 years later, Clair’s dream has become reality, as he and his son Brent now own and operate Brentwood Builders together along with a team of 14 talented employees.

Brentwood Builders has held fast to their core belief that home should be a haven. Because of their family-owned roots, they understand the value of coming home to a place where you can make memories. From their initial designs to the end result, their remodels and new homes are built to bring comfort and last a lifetime.

Brentwood Builders is excited to elevate their clients’ experience with the debut of their new design studio and pop-up shop, which opened in November 2023. Housed in the former Hingework Building they bought and remodeled, the studio is a space that inspires and eases the process of designing your dream home.

“The vision behind our design studio was to create a space that is both beautiful and approachable, and we love that it is located in a building that has evolved into a creative hub downtown,” shared Kate Hostetter.

Clients are able to explore finishes and concepts in person, helping to visualize the whole project.

A Place for Entrepreneurs

Brentwood Builders is proud to provide a home for other small businesses and organizations in their new space. Joined by Nostalgica Coffee, Horizon Empower, The White Room, and Mo Pottery Co., they are building a community of entrepreneurs on Lancaster’s west side.

My favorite part of our new space might actually be our neighbors. I have always loved business that goes beyond my own. It’s a dream come true to have all of these entrepreneurs in one place.”
