Built to Last | Spring 2023

Armstrong World Industries and the AWI Foundation strive to make a positive difference in the lives of people where they live, work, learn, heal, and play.

As Lancaster changes and grows for the better, Armstrong World Industries and the AWI Foundation are honored to support nonprofit organizations that are working to improve how they serve this thriving community.

Recent AWI Foundation grant award recipients Lancaster Public Library and Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development are undergoing major renovations to expand and upgrade their building footprints and services. AWI has donated acoustical ceiling and wall solutions to both projects which are beginning to come to life.

These two projects are examples of how Armstrong World Industries along with its partners and customers are making lasting improvements for the Lancaster community.

SCHREIBER CENTER FOR PEDIATRIC DEVELOPMENT

The Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development is renovating its current building, which will include a 14,700-square-foot addition, to offer a greater range of services to more children with special needs. With the addition of a new physical therapy department and more than a dozen new therapists, this larger facility will empower Schreiber to treat 500 more children annually. The current physical therapy department will be converted into a traumatic brain injury treatment area and the occupational therapy department will be upgraded as well.
