CHANGEMAKER: Mitch Nugent, Prima

Mitch Nugent, executive artistic producer, is focused on invigorating lives through fresh theatrical experiences.

Q: Why is the work of Prima important to our community?

A: It takes people who are thriving to make a flourishing community. Thriving people aren’t immune to the whirlwind of obligations and routines. They counteract it with experiences that energize and inspire them. Prima exists to offer those kinds of engaging experiences. Our new venue on the West Side of Lancaster City offers a home for contemporary theatre, music, and special events. You thriving means a better Lancaster.

Q: What do you find makes up an invigorating experience?

A: Most often, they are the beautiful moments you’ve shared with people that matter to you. There is power in engaging together in a night of stunning live music and a compelling story. It lightens the heart’s burdens. It shakes up the status quo. It inspires dialogue. It brings people together. These kinds of shared experiences make up some of the best parts of life.
