Experience a New Way of Banking: PeoplesBank

PeoplesBank is coming Downtown, and it has a brand new look.

PeoplesBank is coming to Downtown Lancaster next year, and it’s bringing a whole new experience for its clients.

In early spring 2020, PeoplesBank will open the doors to its new location in 101NQ, the lively new commercial and residential space right in the heart of Lancaster City.

Founded in 1864 in Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, PeoplesBank has been serving South Central Pennsylvania for 155 years. What began as a small start-up has now become a billion-dollar institution that is honored to serve the Lancaster community.

'Lancaster City is a growing market and is currently underserved by financial institutions. We’re excited to be part of 101NQ because of its great location and the fact that this building innovatively combines retail, business, and residential living together. We are building a new banking concept that fits very well with the vibe of the building.'

Our team sat down with representatives from PeoplesBank to hear a little more about the vision of the company overall and how this Downtown location will stand out.

Kristen Heisey VP, Director of Marketing and Client Experience shared, “Lancaster City is a growing market and is currently underserved by financial institutions. We’re excited to be part of 101NQ because of its great location and the fact that this building innovatively combines retail, business, and residential living together. We are building a new banking concept that fits very well with the vibe of the building.”

What exactly is this new concept? Essentially, clients can expect a unique banking experience at this new location. When you first walk in, you’ll see a lot of technology mixed in with comfortable seating areas and high-top tables. This layout was built for casual, but still productive conversation. You’ll also be greeted by the concierge team, that will ensure you are properly taken care of throughout your entire visit.

Along with welcoming you to the space, the concierge team is designated to facilitating the vision board—the highlight of your PeoplesBank experience. In this interactive experience, clients and visitors will have the chance to map out their dreams. The room is fitted with big screens where users can grab images related to traveling, retirement, business goals, personal dreams, and whatever else may spark excitement! They then will be able to pin those images on a virtual board and take it away with them as their own vision board. Rather than asking, “What are your needs?” PeoplesBank is asking “What are your dreams and how can we help you achieve them?”

And the best part is? You don’t have to be a client to plan your dreams! Anyone is welcome to stop in and design a vision board. The installation is designed to be a service to the Lancaster community.

This location also offers traditional banking services such as deposits, withdraws, and access to a 24-hour ATM, but, they’re also adding a brand-new service—video conferencing. Kristen gave us a little more insight, sharing, “Video conferencing capabilities will also be available for clients to talk with specialists about their needs.”

PeoplesBank is above all, about the people. In everything the bank does, it seeks to make the client’s experience flawless from start to finish. Their mission is to help clients achieve their dreams and live confidently. Despite their growth, PeoplesBank remains a local bank at heart and they are careful to keep the individual experience at the forefront of their operations.

PeoplesBank wants to help support the community and encourage pursuing one’s dream. With this goal in mind, once the new location opens, the space will be used on First Fridays to display local artists’ work!

Not only does PeoplesBank add value to its clients, but they are also Lancaster community-oriented. They support a number of Lancaster organizations including Penn Manor Education Fund, Schreiber Pediatrics, Hope International, American Heart Association of Lancaster, Lancaster County Association of Realtors, Lancaster SCORE, and Tabor Community Services. PeoplesBank truly is a Lancaster company through and through and we love that they’re joining the Downtown landscape.
