ExtraGive 2026: What to Know About Lancaster County’s 24-Hour Day of Giving
Lancaster County’s day of giving turns 15 on November 20, 2026. This is your guide on how to donate, where to celebrate, and how your gift can go even further.
On Friday, November 20, the Lancaster County Community Foundation welcomes the 15th annual ExtraGive, a 24-hour celebration of generosity that has become one of the community’s most beloved days of the year.
How It Works
From midnight to 11:59PM, the Lancaster community and beyond can visit extragive.org to browse nearly 450 participating local nonprofits and make a secure online donation to a cause they care about—the minimum gift is just $10!
And every gift gets a boost too. Thanks to the Community Foundation, along with presenting sponsors High Foundation and Murry Foundation and many other generous sponsors, donations will be stretched by nearly $500,000 in Stretch Pool funds and prizes. Each organization receives a share of the Stretch Pool based on its number of unique donors. For example, if a nonprofit draws 3% of all unique donors during ExtraGive, that organization will receive 3% of the pool. In other words, every single donor counts.
Since 2012, ExtraGive has generated more than $120 million for more than 500 organizations, with more than 40,000 donors across Lancaster County and the region joining in. And 100% of sponsor dollars go directly to participating organizations.
ExtraGive After Dark
When the sun goes down, the party begins. ExtraGive After Dark is a fresh take on the annual in-person celebration—bringing a new name, a new location, and a new vibe to Commons on Vine at the Lancaster Marriott in Penn Square. The free, family-friendly gathering runs from 7PM to midnight. Guests can expect live music, giving stations, photo opportunities, an interactive art installation, and an all-Lancaster bar, which will build to everybody’s favorite moment: The donation countdown at midnight. ASL interpreters will also be onsite from 8-10PM.
New this year, local food trucks will line Vine Street, just steps from the festivities. Henna art by Keisha Finnie and T-shirt printing by Rich Stitch add some hands-on fun, while the music lineup features Cesar & The Five, The River Jordan Project, Suge & The Family Jam, The Adrian Garcia Band, and T.H.E.M. the Collective.
In addition to ExtraGive After Dark, in-person events and partnerships between local businesses and nonprofits will be going on throughout the day in Lancaster City. View the entire list of events here.
