Eyes to the Skies: The Lancaster Airshow Returns This September
Daring wing walkers, precision jumpers, and historic aircrafts take over Lancaster Airport for a full weekend of aerial action.
Mark your calendars for a weekend of high-flying community fun! The Lancaster Airshow returns to Lancaster Airport on September 19 and 20, 2026, bringing two days of aerial performances, hands-on aircraft exhibits, and a unique day out with family and friends.
The event runs rain or shine with an exciting lineup of events happening throughout the afternoon. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness aviation and aerobatics, including sky riders, precision jumpers, and daring wing walkers. The jumpers and wing walkers, in particular, are always a crowd favorite, delivering a highly engaging performance while they freefall the sky or climb onto the wings of the plane for an acrobatic performance.
But the experience is about more than just watching the sky. The airshow is a community-driven event designed to bring people together and spark curiosity.
“Seeing the excitement in children’s eyes as they experience aviation up close and create lasting memories is one of the highlights of organizing the Lancaster Airshow,” says Ed Foster, Airport Executive Director. “It’s a family-friendly event that provides the opportunity for our community to visit Lancaster Airport, meet pilots and crews, and take pride in the role aviation plays in our region and economy.”
That family-friendly focus will extend across the event grounds. When the planes are not in the air, attendees can explore a dedicated Kids Zone or grab a bite to eat from a variety of local food trucks. Aviation enthusiasts will have plenty of time to interact with historical warbirds and aerial tour jets parked on the tarmac, giving everyone a chance to meet the crews and explore these machines up close.

Those interested in attending are highly encouraged to pre-purchase their tickets on the Lancaster Airport website. There are three ticketing tiers to fit how you want to experience the day.
- General Admission: Grants access to the event grounds to explore static aircraft, the Kids Zone, and food vendors
- Preferred Tickets: Secures a front-row spot with an unobstructed view of the aerial action
