Five years of fun at Decades

Still rooted in the nostalgia of classic video games and childhood flavors, Decades is continually upping the game for memorable amusement and exceptional fare. As they celebrate their five-year anniversary this March with a month of special events, they invite you to join in the excitement—they’ve got a little something for everyone.

Five years ago, a group of friends came together to transform the historic Stahr Armory building—a near century-old gymnasium—on North Queen Street. What began with a vision to build a cool place to hang out has evolved into a destination for food and fun in Lancaster City’s uptown.

Still rooted in the nostalgia of classic video games and childhood flavors, Decades is continually upping the game for memorable amusement and exceptional fare. As they celebrate their five-year anniversary this March with a month of special events, they invite you to join in the excitement—they’ve got a little something for everyone.

For the foodie

In honor of this milestone year, Decades is bringing back some of their greatest hits to the menu for the month of March. Each community favorite dish embodies Decades overall approach to fun fare.

Their entire menu is elevated yet approachable, bringing classic flavors with a twist like their shareable Fried Uncrustables, Decades Burger, and soft pretzel bites (which are never-ending on Wednesday nights!). Whether you grab some apps for the bowling lanes, dig into a delicious burger in their dining area, or finish off a gaming session with a sweet treat—foodies and friends won’t be disappointed.

For the cocktail connoisseur

Bring on the nostalgia with cocktail pouches like Waluigi’s Lemonade and Princess Peach’s Pouch, try an inventive themed cocktail like the interactive Dragon Ball Z, or taste elevated favorites like the Espresso Martini and Smoked Old Fashioned.

With a “this or that”-style menu to guide you to your drink of choice for the night—including speciality mocktails—Decades curated assortment of creative cocktails make their bar a delicious destination. Plus, stay tuned for new creations in honor of their five year anniversary!

For the family

Weekends start early at Decades with family fun beginning at noon on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until 8:30PM. Arcade tokens are intentionally easy on the wallet and most of the ever-expanding collection of games only cost one or two tokens to play.

Parents can sip on an adult beverage to unwind, grab an order of chicken tenders or mac and cheese for the kids, and then hit the arcade to make new family memories with classic games they played when they were young.

 For the competitors

With the 40 retro arcade and tabletop games scattered throughout the 15,000-square-foot gymnasium—including Super Mario Bros., Dance Dance Revolution, Mario Kart, skeeball, air hockey, foosball, and even an N64 set up with classic games—it’s time to get your game on with a night out at Decades.

Take your competition to the pins with six boutique bowling lanes for just $10 a person (including shoes!) and order food and drinks right to your lane.

For the party planners

Lovers of casual fun and elevated vibes will be delighted to know Decades is also a rentable venue for parties between 20 and 250 guests.

Whether you’re hosting a rehearsal dinner, wedding after party, corporate event, holiday gathering, or just love a good party—their packages are customizable and include food, drinks, tokens, and more.
