Fresh Face: Metro Pet Vet

Fresh Face

“We’ve witnessed all the new energy, passion, and business coming to Downtown,” says Dr. Steed. “We want to be a part of that energy, and provide a convenient service for Lancaster’s pet owners.”

There’s good news for pets who live in the city: a beloved local vet is opening its very first Downtown Lancaster location! Metro Pet Vet is the latest addition to North Mulberry Street, within walking distance of Downtown and the Northwest section of the City. Metro Pet Vet, located within the Lancaster City limits, is owned and operated by the team behind the full service Manheim Pike Veterinary Hospital.

With more than two decades’ worth of experience practicing veterinary medicine throughout Lancaster County, owner Dr. Jeff Steed has always dreamed of bringing a vet’s office to the City. He and his family attend First United Methodist Church Downtown and are active supporters of the Fulton Theatre, cherishing their time spent in the City. Over the years, Dr. Steed has begun to notice more and more pet lovers out and about on the sidewalks and in the parks of Lancaster City. One night, he and his wife happened upon a “Dogs’ Night Out” on the patio at the Gallery Row restaurant Pour, and decided it was time to make that Downtown vet’s office dream come true.

“We’ve witnessed all the new energy, passion, and business coming to Downtown,” says Dr. Steed. “We want to be a part of that energy, and provide a convenient service for Lancaster’s pet owners.”

At Metro Pet Vet, you can expect the same friendly, professional environment and expert care that Dr. Steed and his team have been practicing for the past 19 years. The office’s pet-themed art gallery features work by local artists. With access to the full service Manheim Pike Veterinary Hospital, Metro Pet Vet is the logical choice for city-living pet owners.
