Huddle Up for Hope: CASA’s Heroes Gala and Benefit Auction returns this September
The 16th annual Heroes Gala brings a "Tailgates & Touchdowns" theme to score big for local youth in foster care.
Lancaster has always been a community that knows how to rally together for a meaningful cause. This September, get ready to huddle up for an unforgettable evening filled with inspiring stories, exciting auctions, and touchdown-inspired celebrations at CASA of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties16th annual Heroes Gala & Benefit Auction on September 19, 2026.
As CASA’s signature and largest fundraiser of the year, the event returns to transform the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square into the ultimate game-day celebration with this year’s theme—Tailgates & Touchdowns. Whether guests choose to arrive in elevated tailgate chic, their favorite sports jerseys, team colors, or classic game-day glam, they will be part of a crowd dedicated to a singular mission: giving a voice to children who deserve safety, stability, and hope.
“The Heroes Gala has long been one of our most successful fundraisers, providing crucial funding to support our mission and our CASA volunteer advocates. However, the event is so much more than that. It brings together so many of our donors, our volunteers, and our friends who all fill an integral role in the organization,” says CASA Executive Director, Jessica Laspino. “It is something about all of us in one room, supporting the same mission, that is inspiring and brings renewed energy to our work.”
Last year’s gala raised over $300,000 in a single evening, and this year, the organization aims to carry that momentum forward. The funds raised directly fuel the training and support of CASA’s core mission—providing children in the local foster care system with a compassionate volunteer advocate who can help them find a safe and permanent home.
A Game Day Experience with a Purpose
The evening promises to score big from start to finish. Guests can test their skills in interactive, tailgate-inspired games, and enjoy a delicious dinner accompanied by a high-energy live band. Both a silent and live auction will take place throughout the evening featuring a wide variety of prizes. Additionally, exclusive experiences will be available in a dedicated VIP Hall of Fame Lounge for those who purchase a ‘Hall of Fame Pass’ along with their ticket.
“As a CASA volunteer, I love attending the Heroes Gala because it is such an inspiring evening that brings together the incredible community of CASA supporters,” says volunteer and Heroes Gala Auction Chair, Bridget Willoughby. “The children in the foster care system need a trusted, consistent adult in their lives to advocate for their best interest and this is made possible through the generosity and support from guests at this amazing event.”
