Honoring Lancaster County

Winners of the 2025 Exemplar Award

Each year at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner, four outstanding local leaders are recognized for the meaningful impact they’ve made across the community. From driving innovation to championing service, these honorees represent the very best of Lancaster. Attendees will join in celebrating this year’s award recipients and the lasting difference they continue to make.

Meet the Keynote Speaker

Malcolm Gladwell speaking at the 144th Annual Dinner in 2016

This year’s featured speaker is Malcolm Gladwell, the bestselling author behind eight New York Times hits, including his latest, Revenge of the Tipping Point. Recognized as one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People and a Top Global Thinker by Foreign Policy, he brings a rare blend of insight and storytelling to the stage. With his signature mix of warmth, wit, and sharp perspective, Malcolm captivates audiences while delivering ideas that both challenge and inspire.

“As we look at where Lancaster County stands today, we see a community that has embraced the very principles Malcolm spoke about a decade ago,” said Heather Valudes, President & CEO of the Lancaster Chamber.

“Growth and innovation here move through this community because leaders choose to show up again and again for one another, for their businesses, and for this County,” Valudes added. “Inviting Malcolm back allows us to revisit those ideas at a moment when they feel even more relevant and explore what they mean for the next ten years of business and civic life in Lancaster County.”
