Join local residents Cheryl and Steve Aucott on a fall Fig Day Out

As Lancaster continues to be a top-rated place to retire, residents are finding their place as they continue enjoying the things they love to do.

Philadelphia natives Cheryl and Steve Aucott settled in Lancaster early in their careers to enjoy the slower pace of life and raise their family.

Both now retired, the Aucotts spend their time investing in the community they call home.

Steve is an avid swimmer while Cheryl teaches English as a second language to local Afghan refugees. They both organize group rides on Lancaster’s amazing rail trails for their Sunday School class and have also recently began volunteering at Blessings of Hope.

With so many rhythms they cherish already established, Cheryl and Steve opted to reserve a space at Garden Spot Village when it’s time to make that move in a few years.

The premier amenities and community feeling at Garden Spot make them excited for what’s to come, and its close proximity to the city will allow the Aucotts to continue enjoying the Lancaster community they hold dear.
