Ken Bell Yoga offers one-on-one sessions to help you pursue healing

With sessions hosted at his in-home studio, Ken Bell is transforming lives for his clients on and off the mat.

An avid rock climber turned yoga instructor for the past 30+ years, Ken Bell has always prioritized movement and wellness in his life. As an Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist, his approach to yoga is grounded in the physical as well as pursuing healing. When he and his wife moved to Lancaster four years ago, his yoga practice transitioned from group classes to private sessions hosted at his in-home studio, which Ken enjoys most as he guides his clients one-on-one.

“Although I have a fitness background, my approach to yoga is not just from a fitness perspective,” Ken explained. “I see yoga as a comprehensive physiological pursuit best practiced one-on-one. When teaching a private session, I start with asking, ‘Why are you here? What injuries do you have?’ And so forth and so on to get an overall perspective of their journey. As sessions go on, we dive deeply into other perspectives, addressing the heart and soul as well.”

Ken’s passion for yoga is rooted in his desire to help people live healthier lives—whether he is helping a client address a health concern like back pain or simply guiding a client through a meditation practice.

A vegan since he was 19 years old with a degree in plant-based nutrition from Cornell University, he can also introduce nutrition in his program when clients request it.

Overall, Ken hopes he can inspire clients to pay it forward, even offering a program for yogis to take their practice to the next level and become certified yoga instructors through his nationally recognized Metta School of Yoga curriculum.

“Without yoga and meditation in our lives, we tend to live unconsciously and with little thought of the present moment or our mind, body, spirit connection,” he said.

“I believe yoga can heal our emotional and physical body while settling the noise within our minds, both on and off the mat.”
