MusicFest is back for its third year on Saturday, September 10, 2022! After a two-year hiatus, the team at SmartHub Foundation is thrilled to bring back their flagship event, welcoming local performers to the stage and gathering the Lancaster community together once again.

“After Lancaster MusicFest 2019, so many people reached out to tell us how great it was to come to an event that was so much fun, and at the same time support local organizations that are having such an impact in our own community,” said Jeremy Ganse, President of SmartHub Foundation.  “They said they loved the great lineup of local and regional bands and the fun festival atmosphere that’s family friendly and close to home.  After two years away, we’re thrilled to welcome everyone back for the third MusicFest.”

This year’s MusicFest lineup will feature performances from Screamin Daisies, Adam & the Weight, Dimestore Dolls, and Alexis Cunningham.

In addition to local and regional musicians and performers, food trucks like Blazin J’s will be parked and ready to serve up great festival fare to pair with craft beer options from Funk Brewing, New Trail Brewing Co, and Our Town Brewing.

Lancaster MusicFest will be held in Buchanan Park, and with plenty of outdoor space to roam, this is the perfect event for the whole family. The Lancaster County Public Library System will be on hand with fun activities for the kids, along with street performers and a human-sized hamster wheel where kids and kids-at-heart can make their own sno-cone!

While having all the great features of a traditional music festival, Lancaster MusicFest is rooted in a greater purpose than simply having fun and enjoying the work of talented musicians. In keeping with SmartHub Foundation’s mission of creating a more engaged, healthy, and vibrant Lancaster, ticket sale proceeds from Lancaster MusicFest benefit the music therapy program at Penn State Children’s Hospital, a member of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

“Children’s Miracle Network does such important, life-saving work right here in Lancaster County,” said Mitch Gready, Director of Lancaster MusicFest. “The funds Children’s Miracle Network raises support life-saving equipment, vital patient programs and innovative research to help provide the best possible care to sick and injured children in our community.”
