Lunch at Lombardo’s is a hidden gem in Lancaster City

Open Tuesday through Saturday from 11AM to 2:30PM, Lombardo’s is a delightful lunch spot for catching up with friends, business lunches, or treating out of town guests.

A true institution in Lancaster City for more than 75 years, Lombardo’s is a destination for everything from weekly date nights and evenings on the town to family celebrations and marking milestones with friends.

Their dinner menu is infamous for classic Italian favorites and innovative dishes rooted in recipes passed down from generation to generation and paired with curated wine selections and seasonal cocktails.

Family-owned from the beginning, the close-knit culture of Lombardo’s is intentionally set by the leadership of owners Sam and Dena Lombardo and has created true familial connection between the staff and the patrons who join their tables.

“I definitely love the people the most,” shared Jenna Pinhas, Restaurant Manager. “Between the staff and the guests, we have fostered a lot of great relationships since working here. There are so many regulars that I’ve come to know and love. It really creates a sense of belonging here with the staff, the guests, and the Lombardo family.”

While the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant is well-known throughout the community, perhaps a well-kept secret is the relaxing experience patrons will find during Lombardo’s daytime hours.

Open Tuesday through Saturday from 11AM to 2:30PM, Lombardo’s is a delightful lunch spot for catching up with friends, business lunches, or treating out of town guests.

Still authentically Italian, the lunch menu includes staples like the spaghetti and meatballs, wild mushroom gemelli, and chicken parmesan, alongside lighter and equally delicious fare like the tenderloin tip panini, Italian hoagie, and Italian wedge salad.

The entire drink menu is also available for lunch, as well as nonalcoholic options like their famous iced tea and fresh lemonade.

The Lombardo’s team stresses that no matter what time of day you visit, the experience will always be the delightfully Italian, rooted in a commitment to the local community, and authentically Lombardo’s.

“I think what makes Lombardo’s really unique is its history and a community of people who know they can come together here and celebrate their moments in life,” General Manager Meredith Thompson said. “Restaurants are a lot more than just going out to eat. People are making memories here.”
