Meet Dr. Bethany Weaver, a former patient who now transforms lives at A&E Audiology & Hearing Aid Center

Dr. Bethany Weaver was first fit with hearing instruments when she was four years old. Along with her younger brother who also has hearing loss, her family visited many audiologists growing up due to health insurance changes before finding A&E Audiology & Hearing Aid Center. “We started seeing Dr. Elliot when I was 12 and my brother was 8. We stayed with the practice because she always treated us like family and encouraged us to be proud of who we are. She never allowed us to feel limited in any way because of our hearing loss,” Bethany shared.

When Bethany was in high school, Dr. Elliot sparked her interest in the field of audiology as a career. She invited her to shadow the providers at A&E Audiology, and Bethany worked in various positions at the center throughout her undergraduate and doctoral education.

“In 2015, Dr. Elliot and I volunteered on an audiology humanitarian trip to Haiti to test and fit children and adults with hearing instruments,” Dr. Weaver shared.

“That trip solidified my interest in audiology as a career path. Over the past nine years, I joined the audiology team and have had the opportunity to travel with Dr. Elliot all over the world on humanitarian trips. It is an absolute blessing to be able to work at the same place that shaped and molded my future and give the gift of hearing, which I was given at such a young age.”
