Meet Jaime Torres, founder of The Event Nanny & Co.

Jaime Torres didn’t set out to start her own business at the beginning of 2025, but her entrepreneurial spirit was sparked when she came across a video of a traveling event nanny online. As a mother to two adult sons, she knows firsthand what it’s like to juggle kids and big celebrations—and after researching the market, she realized there was a need here in Lancaster to address this.

“When I got married, my son was little and made it into our wedding photos with his pacifier and blanket,” she recalled. “During our vows, he got fussy, and rather than try to remove him and risk losing the moment, I let him be with me—a sweet, chaotic, and very real moment that inspired this business.”

Armed with that memory, a notebook, and a lucky pen, Jaime took herself out to lunch to draw up a business plan and establish her first LLC: The Event Nanny & Co.

Jaime offers a boutique childcare experience for events with packages that range from pre-ceremony to reception support for weddings as well as trusted childcare for corporate events.

“Lancaster has beautiful venues with the ability to host high-end weddings and events—and I think what we offer through The Event Nanny & Co. is really needed here,” she shared.
