Meet the new owners of Inna’s Pierogi Shop

Emily Gonzalez and Michael Ortiz are excited to take over this Lancaster legacy business.

Fresh Face

Founded by Inna and Aleksey Kondramashin, Inna’s Pierogi Shop has been Lancaster’s go-to place for fresh pierogies for years. When the Kondramashins decided to sell their business, they searched for people who would value what was already established and bring fresh ideas for growth. For Inna, Emily Gonzalez and Michael Ortiz were the perfect fit.

“Pierogi has a lot of history in it, and I knew if someone can appreciate and value that, they will keep the tradition and flavor alive,” Inna shared. “Emily and Michael brought an energy and vision that I was looking for to grow the business.”

The duo is ready to carry this Lancaster mainstay into its next chapter. “Once I took a look at the numbers and the location and everything that would come with the sale, it just made sense for us to take it over,” Emily said.

Inna’s pierogi dough and gourmet fillings are made fresh at the shop each week. Every batch of pierogi dough is vegan, crafted with house-made oat milk.

While the heart of the company and the pierogies so many know and love will stay the same, Emily and Michael are excited to expand the flavor selection with new menu items, introducing flavors like buffalo chicken, chicken cheesesteak, and chicken bacon ranch, which will be served alongside specialty sauces and dips.

Pierogies are currently sold at Lancaster Central Market, Inna’s Pierogi Shop in Lititz, and can now be purchased on all major delivery services.

“We wanted to be able to offer them to people who are at work or are unable to come to either of our locations,” Emily shared. “We’re excited about growing our delivery services and the growing the wholesale program, as well as getting our pierogies into local restaurants and breweries.”
