New School Montessori opens its doors in Downtown Lancaster

New School Montessori is making specialized education more convenient for working parents downtown.

Fresh Face

New School Montessori is excited to announce the opening of its third location, nestled in the vibrant heart of Lancaster City. Located in a charming historic building on North Lime Street, the new campus will provide specialized Montessori education for children from six weeks old through kindergarten.

Weve been looking for the perfect downtown location, shared Robyn Stearne, Head of School at New School Montessori. Expanding into the city meets the needs of working parents who are close by, making it easier for them to balance work and family life.”

At New School Montessori, the focus is on nurturing each childs unique potential through a rich variety of hands-on activities and an individualized learning journey. The curriculum is designed to cultivate creativity, accountability, and responsibility, fostering an environment where students learn to collaborate and build community.

Our approach encourages children to engage deeply with their learning material, driven by their natural curiosity,Robyn explained. We aim for our students to see learning as an exploration, not merely absorption of facts. They are encouraged to pursue their interests passionately.”

Montessori education, known for its emphasis on self-directed activity, hands-on learning, and collaborative play, underpins all programs at New School Montessori.

Regardless of which campus they attend, students can continue their education up to the eighth grade at our main campus. New School Montessori is ideal for families seeking a personalized educational plan that encourages the students’ autonomy and accountability in their learning.”
