Northwest Bank is investing in the Lancaster community

Learn how Northwest is supporting the important work of local organizations.

Community isn’t just part of the mission of Northwest Bank—it’s at the heart of everything they do. Northwest’s team members are dedicated to volunteering their time to help the Lancaster community thrive, strengthening local organizations, and supporting meaningful initiatives.

Volunteering to Help Lancaster Thrive

From building homes to mentoring future leaders, Northwest Bank’s presence is felt throughout Lancaster’s nonprofit network.

The bank proudly supports Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity, not only as a volunteer and contributor but also through leadership—Traci Unal, Eastern Region Market Executive, serves on the organization’s Board of Directors.

Their team members also give their time and support to many local organizations, including the Lancaster County Food Hub, Water Street Mission, Lancaster Science Factory, United Way of Lancaster County, and the Lancaster County Homeless Coalition. Unal also serves on the Board of Directors for The Salvation Army of Lebanon, extending Northwest’s commitment to helping neighbors in need.

Strengthening Local Organizations

Northwest Bank actively participates in Lancaster’s business and civic community, contributing to initiatives that drive Lancaster’s growth. Through the Lancaster Chamber, Tim Rhoades, Vice President of Commercial Banking, serves as both a Chamber Ambassador and Discovering Paths mentor, guiding young professionals. Traci Unal serves on the Lebanon Valley Chamber Board of Directors as well.

Many of Northwest’s leaders are also Leadership Lancaster graduates.

Supporting Meaningful Initiatives

Beyond volunteerism and leadership, Northwest Bank supports the Lancaster community through sponsorships and partnerships that boost local impact and support local businesses.

Northwest Bank partially sponsors several of Fig Lancaster’s Fresh Faces, a feature that highlights new businesses in Lancaster City. Through this initiative, Northwest Bank shows its support for the growth of small businesses.
