The Fig Team’s Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes with Fountain Avenue Kitchen
Recipe & story by Ann Fulton
Everyone seems to have a favorite part of the Thanksgiving feast, and it’s always fun to hear which dishes people can’t imagine the holiday without. When the team at Fig shared their must-haves—and selected recipes from my site to match—I loved seeing the mix of classics, creative twists, and sentimental favorites that made their list.
As for me, I’ve always had trouble choosing just one Thanksgiving favorite. There’s so much I like about the meal. The item I most appreciate, on the table, however, is a crisp, colorful salad. While this is something that never appeared on my family’s holiday table when I was younger, I love the way it balances all the other wonderfully rich, indulgent things on the menu—somehow making everything taste even better.
I hope you find inspiration in the following tried-and-true recipes and in the reasons they are loved. At the end, I’ve included links to my top salad picks, in case you’d like to add a crisp, colorful touch to your Thanksgiving table.

Meet Ann Fulton, the recipe developer and cook behind The Fountain Avenue Kitchen where she has been sharing time-tested recipes for the last 12 years.
