Your Official Look into Lancaster City Restaurant Week
Lancaster City Restaurant Week is September 16-22. You ready?
Lancaster City Restaurant Week (LCRW) is returning to the city to celebrate our city’s diverse restaurant scene! It is a cannot-miss event!
LCRW hosted its official kickoff event at Decades Lancaster, boasting some of our city’s trendiest restaurants while showcasing their most popular dishes. We made sure to grab some shots of all the drool-worthy food before it was eaten up! Check out the highlights below and make sure you mark September 16-22 on your calendars. You don’t want to miss out on all the great food specials these restaurants have to offer!
Chris Trendler, the founder of Lancaster City Restaurant Week, commented that around 20 percent of the participating restaurants are brand new to the city—definitely a reason to start exploring our growing dining scene!
What can you expect from this year’s event? From Downtown classics to brand new favorites, this Restaurant Week has rounded up some of Lancaster’s finest, including places such as Decades, Commonwealth on Queen, Amorette, Altana, Sprout, Cafe One Eight, Lancaster Cheesesteak Company, Belvedere Inn, Grape Leaf Cafe, Splits & Giggles, Himalayan Curry & Grill, Shot & Bottle, and many others.
All of the participating cafes and restaurants have deals going on for every budget and lifestyle, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options from $10, $20, $30, and $40—meaning you can try fabulous courses and specials from various local restaurants all day every day (at least for the week).
Amorette, for example, will have a two-course lounge dinner where you can pick any two courses out of three for $30. They feature delectable dishes such as savory wild mushroom risotto and shaved brussels sprouts.
Another new restaurant offering special meal deals is The Imperial. To kickoff breakfast, they’re offering a $10 breakfast buffet that includes typical breakfast staples like pancakes and bacon, but also an oatmeal bar!
If you’re in the mood for something fresh and new, try Grape Leaf Cafe! Opened this year, Grape Leaf provides ethnic food prepared by refugee women who have found a home here in Lancaster. With its emphasis on quality food and social impact, we definitely recommend giving Grape Leaf a try!
Lancaster City Restaraunt Week is dedicated to empowering both the businesses and customers, ensuring everyone can enjoy the beautiful city and all it has to offer. This year, LCRW is focusing on more than just the food. They’ve chosen to partner with Meals on Wheels of Lancaster, a nonprofit seeking to provide fresh food at reasonable costs to those who cannot provide food for themselves. We’re honored to be a part of a community that cares so deeply for each other.
As you dine out, remember those who have to dine in with a donation to Meals on Wheels of Lancaster, Inc. Learn more how to make your donation here.
Be sure to make your way Downtown this week. From scrumptious breakfast specials to a three-course fine dining experience, Restaurant Week will have something for everyone!
