Celebrate 10 Years of Open Streets Lancaster! On Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Lancaster Rec’s 10th Annual Open Streets Lancaster will once again transform Water Street into a car-free community space for all to enjoy. As part of a national movement, this free, family-friendly event encourages physical activity, reimagines Lancaster as a walkable, bikeable city, and fosters meaningful connections between neighbors, businesses, and community organizations. Attendees can walk, bike, blade, or skate while enjoying live music, local food, artists, and interactive activities promoting health and wellness. What started in 2014 with just two blocks and 1,000 attendees has grown into a one-mile celebration with over 8,000 community members!
