Foundations of Creative Writing

This foundational creative writing course will familiarize and empower you in you writing craft. We will utilize the tools of the author’s trade to brainstorm, draft, and analyze a piece of prose or poetry based on core techniques. We will practice reading for quality, then learn through brief lecture on what terms your sense of quality rests. We will then draft a piece to review analytically. Students will walk away with a complete poem or flash prose piece.
