Fundamentals of Painting – Limited Palette: Grades 7-9 at PCA&D

February 7 @ 12:30 pm 3:00 pm

Understanding color can be one of the most essential skills a young artist can build. The colors you choose can create the mood of a piece or be a way for you to express your own personal style. If you’re interested in learning the basics of color theory, or even just getting started on understanding how color works in your own art, this class is perfect for you. Join instructor Megan Einolf as she guides students to create still life paintings from observation with the fun challenge of using a limited color palette. This is a studio based class using acrylic paint, brushes, and palette knives on canvas. This class will start with lecture and demonstration followed by one-on-one check-in. Expect your child to be focused on building a better understanding of color and painting skills within bounds of the assignment.
