Gel Plate Printing Explorations

Using a gel plate to make prints is a tactile adventure that can be quite addicting!
The gel plate is an adaptable painting tool: there are as many ways to use the gel plate as there are artists. We will explore color, texture, pattern and shape while experimenting with the flexibility of this method of print-making.
By the end of the three hour workshop, you will have a pile of prints that can be used as collage paper, materials for paper-based craft projects, inspiration for future paintings, or references for color study, mark-making and composition.
Materials: Bring your own 5×7 gel plate and brayer. Third Story will provide paint and paper.
