Mosaic Mandala Workshop at PCA&D

In this workshop for adults, you will make a 6-inch round mandala mosaic with guidance from mosaic artist Aya Kinoshita! Mandala represents the “universe,” so join us and create your own universe with colorful and diverse pieces you hand-cut! The instructor will also introduce Japanese “Mandala Brainstorming” which is simple, yet versatile and useful for anytime you want to sort out your ideas or to-do list! You will learn how to cut glass pieces into different sizes and shapes with hand tools, then layout and attach those pieces. We will finish the mosaics with grouting. This workshop is primarily studio based paired with one-on-one instruction and some lecture. Expect to spend most of your time creating your mosaic.
