Reductive Drawing: Graphite & Charcoal, with Matt Allyn Chapman

Reductive Drawing: Graphite & Charcoal, with Matt Allyn Chapman
March 29 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Just as essential as the pencil, the eraser has long been used as a tool not just to undo a mistake, but to create beautiful pieces of art. In this two session workshop participants will learn the best practices for using various erasers to achieve form, value, and volume in their drawings in addition to charcoal and graphite. We will also explore the application of a “ground” to a drawing surface, making an excellent starting point for reductive drawing. Skills gained in these sessions will surely become trusted and often used in your creative practice.
Space is limited, pre-registration is required. Please note curio. is located down a flight of stairs.
