Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development invites the community to an enchanted evening of celebration and inspiration at its Annual Holiday Open House and Art Walk, featuring the unveiling of a new Wizard of Oz installation.

The evening’s highlight is the unveiling of the Wizard of Oz installation designed to honor and display a remarkable Wizard of Oz memorabilia collection, generously donated by Dr. Dennis Denenberg, a former Schreiber client who overcame speech challenges with the help of the Center’s founder, Edna Schreiber. Dennis’ story is a testament to the transformative work Schreiber continues to do, embodying the courage to overcome challenges, a passion for education and sharing wisdom, and the kindness of paying it forward. Like Dorothy’s journey to self-discovery, the therapy and support provided by Schreiber empowers clients to face their fears through action, grow by confronting challenges, and uncover the strength and potential they’ve had within them all along. 

Event Details:

• Wizard of Oz Installation Unveiling: Featuring a meet-and-greet with Dr. Dennis Denenberg. 
• Art Walk: Showcasing pieces created by past Schreiber clients and staff, including a work by 2023 Ambassador Malcolm Corley, who will be in attendance. 
• S.T.A.R.S. Preschool Performances: Three musical performances by Schreiber’s youngest stars. 
• Craft Stations: Activities for children in each therapy department. 
• Holiday Treats & Photos with Santa: Sponsored by Manheim Auto Auction.
