The New Holland Band presents their 3rd annual Veterans Day Concert on Wednesday, November 11 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel at Garden Spot Village. With tunes that reflect the experiences of our servicemen and women, the program will include pop tunes performed by military bands through the years such as “All Shook Up”, “Blue Hawaii”, and “As Time Goes By”. Also on the program is Barber’s “Adagio for Strings” which was used in the movie Platoon. The conclusion of the concert will feature the “United States Armed Forces Service Song Medley” in which we ask veterans to stand and be recognized for their service to our country when they hear their service song played. The performance on Wednesday, November 11, begins at 7 p.m. in the Chapel at Garden Spot Village. Tickets may be purchased from the band’s website at www.newhollandband.org. Veterans enter promo code THANKS for free tickets. The Garden Spot Village campus is located at 433 South Kinzer Avenue in New Holland, Pennsylvania. Once on campus, follow the signs to the chapel.
