Watercolor for the Beginner at PCA&D

March 2 @ 10:00 am 12:30 pm

Ever want to dive into using watercolor but find that it’s remarkably stubborn? You’re not alone! In this class, we will explore different watercolor techniques so you can control the medium instead of it controlling you. In this class you’ll learn how to control the movement of the paint, how to hold you paintbrush properly and how to successfully layer watercolor onto your paper without it becoming a puddle. After a demonstration on basic watercolor techniques, you will be walked through brief projects to allow you to practice how to control watercolor paint. This workshop is primarily studio based paired with one-on-one instruction. Content will lightly touch upon color theory and observational drawing.
