As a lifelong baker, inspired by many chocolate-batter-covered spatulas in her mother’s kitchen, Emily opened Lancaster Cupcake in 2011, soon after coming in second on Food Network’s show Cupcakes Wars. Since then, Lancaster Cupcake has expanded to include three locations and two cupcake trucks.
Owners Emily and Jeff Mitchell believe that the first step in making exceptional cupcakes is to use high-quality ingredients like locally-sourced butter, cream cheese, cocoa, and flour from Lancaster County. All of their creations are baked, whipped, and spread with care using only the finest local dairy and produce.
