Celebrate Lancaster’s food scene during Lancaster City Restaurant Week

Tables will be set, glasses poured, and special dishes prepared as Lancaster City restaurants gear up for one of our favorite weeks of the year.

Here at Fig, it doesn’t take much to get us excited for Lancaster City dining, and we can’t help but feel like this year’s Restaurant Week is going to be extra special. Like so many events in the wake of the pandemic, Restaurant Week has been on a hiatus since 2020.

When dining rooms shuttered amidst stay-at-home orders and social distance measures, uncertainty loomed. As it turned out, residents were quick to grab food to-go, purchase gift cards for future use, and continue supporting their favorite restaurants in any way they knew how. Three years later, Restaurant Week is back—a testament to the resilience of the foodie culture our city is becoming ever-increasingly known for.

“We are excited to have Lancaster City Restaurant Week return for 2023 in both April and October,’’ said Chris Trendler, founder of the event. “It’s a great opportunity to showcase the array of diverse restaurants we have in Lancaster City.”

Lancaster City has over 140 restaurants serving up dishes from across the world, paying homage to the diversity that makes the city so special. From casual eats to fine dining experiences, Lancaster City’s hospitality gurus, chefs, and bartenders know how to make people feel at home around their tables.

“Restaurant Week is a perfect opportunity for guests to try new spots, visit their favorites, and help our local food scene thrive,” Chris said.

With over 30 restaurants participating this spring, there are so many ways to show your support for the cafes, bistros, and bars that have created places where we can make memories over a full table.
