A Redefined Thrift Experience at Freedom Thrift

Twenty miles east of the heart of Downtown Lancaster, Freedom Thrift Secondhand Store is redefining the thrift store experience.

Twenty miles east of the heart of Downtown Lancaster, Freedom Thrift Secondhand Store is redefining the thrift store experience.

Located on the first floor of the Revelations of Freedom Ministry complex, Freedom Thrift exists to support Revelations of Freedom Ministries. All their profits go directly into supporting ROFM, and the students of ROFM are employed by Freedom Thrift, which provides financial support and workplace skills and trades to those involved.

“[The students who work at Freedom Thrift] develop confidence in their talents and abilities that will positively impact their future vocations and relationships. Most importantly, they are surrounded daily by a great group of staff and volunteers who are living examples of God’s goodness,” General Manager Jeff Starr said.

With artful displays and organized departments, Freedom Thrift not only prioritizes the students impacted by its mission—they are also cultivating a shopping experience that is fresh, inspiring, and unforgettable.

Whether you are looking to refresh your wardrobe, replace a broken piece of your china set, top off your home décor, or find inspiration, your next great discovery is at Freedom Thrift. Their store is stocked with apparel and accessories, home goods and sundries, artwork, literature, one of a kind floral arrangements, plants, and fresh flowers (when available), and seasonal items.

Customers at Freedom Thrift know that they have great finds at great prices, and each purchase is making a difference in the lives of these men and their families.

“Our mission is to provide hope, help, and healing to those struggling with addiction and brokenness one life at a time,” Jeff said.

While you’re out shopping, you can always bring along saleable home goods, furniture, clothing, and miscellaneous treasures to donate, and if you are interested in partnering even more with their mission, they have a lot of volunteer opportunities.

“[As a volunteer], you will become part of something bigger than yourself that has eternal value,” Jeff said. “The opportunity to be a part of the students’ growth and development is highly fulfilling and takes place in a fast-paced and fun-filled environment.”

Through your purchases, donations, or volunteer hours, when you visit Freedom Thrift, you are investing in and empowering men who are a part of ROFM. Take a trip to 114 Ranck Church Road in New Holland for an experience that will be rewarding and memorable.
