Fescue Gallery is an immersive gallery and literary hub on Gallery Row

Co-directors Lina and Dennis are artists and passionate entrepreneurs working to bring local, national, and international talent to show in Lancaster.

Fresh Face

Located along Gallery Row, Fescue Gallery displays contemporary work, honoring the vibrant cultural landscape that defines Lancaster’s art scene. Co-directors Lina Seijo- Herbert and Dennis Herbert are passionate advocates for the many talented artists who call Lancaster home.

“The entire gallery is meant to be an experience,” Dennis said. “It’s a way for guests to discover a talented artist who they might not know about.”

As artists themselves—Lina, a visual artist, and Dennis, a writer—they are always looking for refreshing, adventurous work that inspires creativity and sparks an interesting dialogue. To offer a fuller picture of each artist’s perspective, Fescue hosts showcase exhibits where featured artists display their work across each wall of the gallery.

“The whole place becomes their show, where hanging pieces becomes a creative process with the artist,” Lina said. Apart from managing the gallery, Lina and Dennis also spend time exploring world-class galleries and attending local events to discover artists to book and curate their artist showcases.

Beyond visual art, Fescue Gallery hosts readings, open mic events, and encourages writers to share their words publicly.

By supporting local, regional, and national artists across a variety of mediums, the couple’s hope is that showing at the gallery will become an international staple for artists.
