At Fig, we believe in the power of a community that works together to identify needs and find solutions—one that creates connections and is passionate about helping its neighbors. Each year, Fig partners with a nonprofit organization working to transform our community. Introducing our 2022 Social Mission Partner, SACA.

Since the early 1940s, diverse groups have found hope and opportunity in the Lancaster area —including the Latino community, which now represents about 40% of the population within Lancaster City. This extraordinary statistic reflects a vigorous pattern of growth over the decades, and in response to this, the Spanish American Civic Association, now known as SACA, was established in 1973 to help the growing Latino population assimilate to life in Lancaster.

As SACA has built upon this foundation, they have become a partner and an ally to all. Today, the mission of SACA is to uplift and restore marginalized communities through human, economic, and social services, while supporting cultural identities. Through their programs, they inspire others to identify and fulfill their unique purpose, leveraging resources to pursue a unified community where everyone can advance.

SACA programming focuses on five key areas:

  • Workforce Development
  • Human Services
  • Behavioral Health
  • Affordable Housing & Community Development
  • Public Broadcasting

Communities supported by SACA are all-inclusive, empowered to prosper through sustained social and economic transformation and the belief that diversity is to be embraced and celebrated. The larger vision is to constantly evolve, adapt, and seek new opportunities to increase organizational health, increase community wealth, and restore human dignity.
