Meet the new owners of Lancaster Pickle Company, James and Brittnie Jones

The Joneses are bringing even more bold, flavor-packed pickles to the shop at 318 North Queen Street.

Fresh Face

James and Brittnie Jones are embracing all things pickles as the new owners of Lancaster Pickle Company. Established 10 years ago, Lancaster Pickle Company has made a name for itself offering clean, small-batch pickles, and James and Brittnie are excited to offer even more bold, flavor-packed varieties to choose from.

“We kept the original brine recipe that Lancaster Pickle is known for, along with all the original flavors,” Brittnie said. “We’ve added our own twist to those flavors, added new ones, and have other offerings like pickle slaw and pickle de gallo to the shop as well.”

While James is most excited about continuing to workshop new flavors, Brittnie is really proud to build a legacy for her daughters, including their oldest Morgan who is managing the retail shop.

Their family-owned and family-run business is an extension of something the Joneses have already built in Lancaster—local sandwich shop Savoy Truffle, which has been using Lancaster Pickle Company pickles for the past three years.

“We were already in love with the product through Savoy,” Brittnie shared. “So acquiring Lancaster Pickle earlier this year was just the right place and right time for us. It w as a natural extension of our entrepreneurial journey.”

With local partnerships as a pillar of both businesses, both James and Brittnie are stocking more curated pickle-themed products and local goods in their retail space, as well as partnering with more Lancaster restaurants to supply their pickles.

They are also working on expanding their shipping to more states while being a consistent presence for locals and visitors who come to the 300 Block of North Queen Street to shop. They invite you to stop by and taste the Lancaster Pickle difference for yourselves.
