The Servant Stage Company joyfully serves our community by making quality, family-friendly shows easily accessible to everyone with pay-what-you-will performances.
Servant Stage Company joyfully serves our community by making quality, family-friendly musical and theatrical experiences easily accessible to everyone, with pay-what-you-will performances. They have presented over two dozen virtual concerts online during the Covid shutdown, featuring more than 200 local and national performers and viewed more than 340,000 times. They also offered an online youth theatre program with over 300 students participating in classes taught by local professionals and Broadway veterans. In 2019, they produced more than 160 live performances for over 50,000 people in parks, schools, retirement communities, nursing homes, churches, and community events. As a non-profit 501(c)(3), it is the generous support of their audiences and community partners that makes this possible.
As one of the only Pay-What-You-Will theatre production companies in the country, they serve our community by providing exceptional theatrical and musical experiences that inspire, educate, challenge, and entertain. Check out a round up of their 2021 season below:
Prodigal
May 2021
Experience in a new way a story you may think you know, in this modern allegory that explores themes of self discovery, moral conformity, and the power of unbreakable love. Prodigal is written against the backdrop of 1930s New York, this staged reading of an all-new production features original songs and libretto by Tyler D. Hoover.
Don’t Rock The Jukebox

Servant Stage’s popular teen revue returns with Don’t Rock The Jukebox, an all-new, high-energy tour de force of popular music from many eras and genres! Featuring a cast of some of the top teen talent in the region, Don’t Rock The Jukebox will have you dancing in your seat!
Getting to Know Once Upon A Mattress

If you thought you knew the story of ‘The Princess and The Pea,’ you may be in for a walloping surprise! Carried on a wave of beguiling songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Disney’s Aladdin Jr.

Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within.
The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this new adaptation of the beloved story will open up “a whole new world” for young and old alike!
Disney’s Moana Jr.

Disney’s Moana JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the 2016 Disney animated film, bringing the adventures of Moana and her village of Motunui to life onstage. Moana JR. features all the beloved songs from the film, written by Tony®, GRAMMY, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina, including “How Far I’ll Go,” “Shiny,” and “You’re Welcome.”
This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within. With empowering messages of bravery and selflessness, Moana JR. is sure to bring out the hero within each of us.
Disney’s High School Musical

The gang is back for an action-packed summer extravaganza as Troy, Gabriella and the rest of the Wildcats finish junior year and blast onto the summer scene in Disney’s High School Musical 2 JR. Featuring every ounce of the light-hearted fun that made High School Musical a household name, this buoyant sequel follows our East High favorites as they face the realities of the adult world and begin to grow up. Friendships are tested, summer romances go haywire and the meaning of success is redefined.
Old Time Gospel Radio Hour
July – August 2021
Old Time Gospel Radio Hour is returning to Servant Stage! A hand-clapping, foot-stomping, uplifting affair of fiddles, banjos, and harmonies, this original show has entertained Servant Stage audiences all across Pennsylvania. A combination of gospel favorites, beloved hymns, and old-time radio comedy, Old Time Gospel Radio Hour is sure to entertain the whole family!
Amazing Grace

Servant Stage presents the Broadway musical Amazing Grace. Experience the awe-inspiring true story behind the world’s most beloved song. A captivating tale of romance, rebellion, and redemption, Amazing Grace is an unforgettable musical saga that captures the spirit of history’s sweetest and most powerful sound: freedom. Servant Stage is honored to be bringing this regional premiere to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and to present the first production of Amazing Grace outside of Broadway and the National Tours. All shows are Pay-What-You-Will in keeping with Servant Stage’s mission to make exceptional performances accessible to everyone.
