Bird Scouting Walk

Bird Scouting Walk
June 21 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am
This walk will be led by Sarah Gotwols with the Lancaster Conservancy! Join us for a walk through Greenfield as we explore the world of birds and birdwatching. We will learn to identify a variety of species that visit our local natural areas while using binoculars, field guides, apps, and of course, our own eyes and ears. We’ll also discuss the vital role that our wild spaces have in protecting avian diversity and how we can continue to provide habitat that is crucial for species survival. There will be ample opportunity for Q&A, so bring your burning bird questions and your enthusiasm for all things bird related. This event is FREE and open to all. RSVP preferred. About Your Leader Sarah Gotwols, Volunteer Coordinator with Lancaster Conservancy and resident bird nerd, is a Lancaster County native who has spent countless hours observing birds in their natural habitat along the Susquehanna River. Sarah is also on the board of directors and trip leadership team for the Lancaster County Bird Club. Questions? Email us at greenfieldevents@high.net
