M-Uth Theatre Ensemble Presents Radium Girls & Antigone in Munich

August 8 @ 2:00 pm August 9 @ 2:00 pm

Join the M-Uth Theatre Ensemble for a weekend of powerful, free community theatre featuring two remarkable true stories of courage, truth, and resistance. Admission to all shows is free, and no tickets are required.

The M-Uth Theatre Ensemble is an inclusive, mixed-ability company for teens and young adults from all backgrounds—bringing together diverse young performers, including those who face or have faced significant life challenges, to broaden access to the arts.

Performance Schedule
On Saturday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m., the M-Uth Theatre Ensemble presents a reprise performance of Antigone in Munich by Claudia Hass, which first ran at the Ware Center in summer 2025. The show returns for one performance only, featuring the full cast from the original production. Antigone in Munich tells the true story of Sophie Scholl, a member of the White Rose student resistance group in Nazi Germany, as she comes of age and evolves from bystander to activist. The ensemble will also present a special performance of Antigone for Willow Valley residents on Friday, Aug. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Glen.

On Saturday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 9, at 2 p.m., the ensemble presents Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory. The play chronicles the lives of young women who worked in early 1900s dial-painting factories and were exposed to radium-based paint. When the girls began to get sick, the company embarked on a cover-up to save themselves and their business while slowly poisoning their workers.
