Reception for Waste Not, Want Not—An Exhibition Made from Money

The Phillips Museum of Art at Franklin & Marshall College invites the public to meet the artist behind “Waste Not, Want Not: Collage by Mark Wagner.” Wagner offers a tongue-in-cheek look at the foibles of modern life through intricate assemblages of dollar-bill parts and everyday scraps. Attendees can contemplate works such as “The Woodsman,” which illustrates the quintessential George Washington chopping an incensed cherry tree, and “Tag,” a jacket assembled complexly out of designer clothing labels. Wagner’s one-of-a-kind books, such as “Scream at the Librarian,” will be available for gentle perusing at this event. Light refreshments will be served.
