On Thursday, March 27, 2025, Friendship Community’s 22nd Annual Art Auction will have the addition of a gala this year hosted at the Eden Resort. The signature event will bring together art lovers, community members, and supporters to celebrate the remarkable talents of Heart Artists with intellectual disabilities and autism. This event will honor their individuality and empower their artistic potential at an inspiring celebration of creativity, inclusion, and endless possibilities.
“A Wonderful Life” – An Inspiring Theme
This year’s theme, “A Wonderful Life,” is inspired by Heart Artist Emily Hoy’s captivating artwork of the same name. Emily’s piece reflects the beauty found in everyday moments, reminding attendees that life’s richness comes from connection, creativity, and resilience. The theme highlights the vibrant lives and boundless potential of adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, celebrating the truth that every individual has the power to shape a meaningful and fulfilling life, just like a masterpiece coming to life on canvas.
The evening promises a variety of exciting experiences that guests won’t want to miss! Twenty-seven pieces of artwork will be available for auction, offering an opportunity to acquire one-of-a-kind masterpieces created by the Heart Artists. The auction will be followed by a silent auction, providing even more chances to purchase works of art while supporting a worthy cause.
Tickets are priced at $40, which includes dinner and the opportunity to hear from keynote speakers in the creative arts community. The keynote speakers will be Grace & Carrie Key from Candidly Kind, and Heather Values, CEO & President of Lancaster Chamber. To add a unique touch to the evening, guests can enjoy a signature mocktail inspired by one of the featured art pieces—a perfect blend of creativity and refreshment!
